I don’t write from the other side of a perfect life. I write from inside the process—still learning, still practicing, still choosing, day by day, to trust that God is who He says He is.
Hi, I’m Sheri—short for Sheryl Denise Long. I’m a Christian writer, songwriter, life coach, genealogist, REALTOR®, and—most importantly to me—a mother and grandmother.
My life hasn’t followed a straight or easy path. I’ve walked through loss, illness, unexpected change, and seasons that didn’t look anything like what I had planned. I’m a breast cancer survivor, and like you, I’ve had moments where trusting God felt more like a decision I had to make on purpose than a feeling that came naturally.
What I can tell you, from experience, is this: He has been faithful. Every single time—even when I couldn’t see it in the moment, even when the road ahead was foggy at best.
Unwavering Faith is where I share what I’m learning—through Scripture, honest reflection, a little humor when it fits, and a whole lot of grace for wherever you are today. A Little More, In My Own Words
I started Unwavering Faith because I needed it myself. In the middle of my own hard seasons, I found that the moments I came back to God—even hesitantly, even with more questions than answers—were the moments that steadied me. Not because everything got easier, but because I wasn’t carrying it alone anymore.
I want this space to feel like sitting across the table from a friend who understands, who has her own scars and her own ongoing story, and who believes with her whole heart that God has not forgotten you either.
